• H-NET Job Guide

  H-NET is an international interdisciplinary organization of scholars and teachers. Site includes discussion networks, scholarly review resources, teaching resources, academic announcements, and a Job Guide. The Job Guide lists academic positions in history, humanities, social sciences, rhetoric, and composition.

• Modern Language Association (MLA)

  The Modern Language Association (MLA) maintains the Job Information List which contains information on English and foreign language department openings. The list is updated every Thursday and announcements remain online for six weeks. Also check out the useful section entitled "Information for Job Candidates" maintained by the Association of Departments of Foreign Languages.

• National Council of Teachers of English

  The National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) provides a listing of job opportunities covering language arts, literacy, literature, ESL, and administration. The announcements include positions in the private and academic sector and are updated on a regular basis.

• Society for Technical Communication

  What an impressive site! While the academic announcements are sparse, this is an incredible site for anyone interested in technical writing.
