Students attend Palo Verde College in preparation for transfer to a four-year institution, to acquire entry-level job skills, to increase their vocational competency, or to participate in a variety of non-credit courses. The college also has distance education classes for students unable to attend regular classes in Blythe or Needles. Courses in Administration of Justice, Criminal Justice and Fire Science Technology are offered by Palo Verde College in Blythe as well as through the Ben Clark Training Center, Industrial Emergency Council and Riverside County Fire Department.
