Summary of Duties:
Together with the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Admissions & Recruitment Director coordinates the admissions process with other campus staff. Participates in planning and implementing recruitment efforts and leads in the assessment of the effectiveness of recruiting activities. Summary of Duties: 1. Develops, directs and coordinates the development, direction and coordination of student enrollment activities, including new student orientation. 2. Ensures the Admissions & Recruitment Office provides superb customer service. 3. Establishes strategies and implements a comprehensive enrollment plan that supports and advances the College's strategic enrollment goals. 4. Establishes strategies and implements a comprehensive recruitment plan that targets potential UTTC student populations and supports and advances the College's strategic goals for increasing enrollment. 5. Provides management of accurate data entry related to student information and new student enrollments. 6. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement innovative recruitment partnerships and admissions policies to achieve desired enrollment goals. 7. Maintains positive and collaborative working relationships with all academic and student support departments, and cultivates faculty and staff relationships and involvement in enrollment initiatives. 8. Designs, establishes, and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the College's goals and objectives; recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff. 9. Management of departmental budget. 10. Develops and implements systems and processes for management of ongoing contact with external agencies that refer candidates. 11. Coordinates the preparation of reports for UTTC administration using Jenzabar software as required, exercising care to maintain accuracy. 12. Supervises the implementation of institutional policies for admissions record management. 13. Represents the office on committees as required. 14. Facilitates the ongoing implementation and management of the Admissions Module of the Jenzabar (campus information) system. 15. Maintain a high level of service to customers and regularly evaluate their satisfaction. 16. Receive training and train others to support ongoing departmental cross training efforts. 17. Other duties as assigned
Responsible for supervision of Admissions Advisor and Administrative Assistant
This position operates in a professional office environment. Normal working hours are from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with one hour for lunch. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required, especially during busy times.
This position may require the need to be able to bend, stoop, walk up and down stairs, and occasional lifting
1. Bachelor degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education required. Master’s preferred. 2. Three (3) years of directly related experience in Higher Education, Admissions and/or Recruitment or previous supervisory experience preferred. Other Requirements: 1. Superior customer and personal service skills. 2. Ability to approach and speak with all potential student applicants. 3. Ability to see potential recruitment opportunities and generate creative ideas.
