Grade/Salary: cl 25 - cl 26 (based on experience and qualifications) $39,796.00 - $71,247.00 annually.

Job summary/Representative duties: This position is located in the clerk's office. The incumbent will provide administrative support to the clerk, chief deputy clerk and other management staff and serve as a liaison between the clerk, judicial officers, and other court employees.

Duties include developing microsoft word templates and macros using microsoft office development tools; administering attorney admissions; preparing executive correspondence, memorandums, and legal documents; scheduling appointments and arranging meetings; assisting with the preparation of presentations; and developing standard office procedures.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent;

• Be proficient at using microsoft office applications;

• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

• Have the ability to exercise mature judgement and maintain confidentiality;

• Be skilled in planning , organizing and handling logistical arrangements for meetings, conferences, and events; 

• Have a general knowledge of legal terminology.

• The ability to develop and maintain microsoft word templates utilizing developer tools, visual basic and macros and create and format word documents utilizing styles and style sets is preferred.

• Must have at least one year specialized experience (e.G., progressively responsible clerical or administrative experience that provided knowledge of the rules, regulations, practices and principles of office administration).

Conditions of Employment: applicants must be u. S. Citizens or eligible to work in the united states. An fbi fingerprint check/background investigation will be conducted. The applicant selected will be hired provisionally pending successful completion of the investigation. The position is subject to mandatory electronic fund transfer (direct deposit) for salary payment (bi-weekly). Judiciary employees serve under excepted appointments and are considered "At will". Employees are required to adhere to the code of conduct for judicial employees.

If hired at cl 25, there is promotion potential to cl 26 without further competition.
