Do you Enjoy Working with Infants and Toddlers? Have you taken College coursework in Infant/Toddler Development? CEEN Early Head Start is hiring for Infant and Toddler Teachers for the 2017-2018 Program Year. These positions will work with typically developing children, children with disabilities, bilingual children, and families living in poverty. Teachers serve as the lead primary caregiver in a classroom of 6-8 Early Head Start infants and toddlers. 40 hours per week; non-exempt; 40-52 weeks per program year; great benefits. Pay $15.75 per hour. CEEN will pay for college coursework for eligible staff.

Minimum Requirements for Infant Teachers:

Current Child Development Associate Certificate Or Child Development Associate equivalent (12 Early Childhood Education credits) to include Early Childhood Education 101, 103, 111 (EQIT) and 9 months (1,395 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of 4 or more children from birth to 3. Or Associate Assistant degree in Early Childhood Education to include Early Childhood Education 101, 103 and 111 (EQIT) and 6 months (910 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of 4 or more children from birth to 3.

Minimum Requirements for Toddler Teachers:

Or AA degree in Early Childhood Education to include Early Childhood Education 101, 103 and 111 (EQIT) and 6 months (910 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of 4 or more children under 6.

Responsibilities:

Works with a team to promote the growth and development of Infants and Toddlers Responsible for the weekly preparation of daily lesson plans, which includes learning objectives and developmentally appropriate activities Documents all child observations, individual goals, assessments. Maintains a well-organized, safe and attractive classroom environment
