Student Information Systems Coordinator

Position Description:

This position is assigned to the Technology Department, located at the Educational Services Center in Lynnwood.  The Student Information Systems Coordinator organizes and coordinates the information services function for all student information data in the District to provide accurate and timely information for staffing, budget, program reporting, and contractual needs.  The position also serves as a key District contact for the Skyward Student Information System, with a focus on the Secondary Student area, and maintains configurations to support multiple areas of the system including security and program subsets at a District level. 

This position coordinates the preparation, maintenance, research, and error resolution of various District, Washington State and Federal required reports, working in conjunction with District, Washington School Information Processing Cooperative (WSIPC), and OSPI staff; oversees the development of School reporting procedures, coding methods, and calendars to assure consistent and accurate information; maintains liaison with WSIPC to coordinate District development plans with others in the cooperative and to participate in cooperative software development; develops and conducts  training programs for new and current users of student information on applications, reporting procedures, and standards; provides technical and analytical support to users; develops custom reports and conducts special projects on the student system as requested; coordinates the resolution of inquiries or problems relating to student information; and develops and maintains systems and records that provide for the proper evaluation, control, and documentation of assigned programs.
